As far as cutting fish for our customers, we allow a nice sized portion of fish (3 or 4 ounces) per person, up to 17 or so ounces for the charter if possible, but, Everything OVER 100 lbs. stays with the boat. We want customers to return, so if we can cut fish for them we usually do all we can to do so.
Mahea B Charters include beverages such as water, beer, wine, soda and a few other beverages. Lunch and/or breakfast are not provided, however you are welcome to bring your own. A refrigerator is available for your use.
CAPTAIN HUGH FOSTER, USCG certified, has been fishing from as soon as he could hold a rod. For his family, fishing is a family affair – his father has a charter boat in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and his brother, Capt. Ryan Foster is also an experienced Captain/fisherman, who runs a charter boat out of Honokahau Harbor in Kona, Hawaii.
Mahea B also has 3 extremely good captains/mates. We prefer to call them captains instead of mates because that’s what we are, that’s how we do it. Ron Yamashita of Kaneohe, owns his own boat. Shirley Y, has won and/or placed in more tournaments than we can name, he also has a grander or two under his name. The third Capt., Eric Nourrie, of Makaha, has been a mate on the boat Magic for 14 years and went on to run Wild Bunch 1 and Wild Bunch 2 and his catch record speaks for itself. They are experienced and extremely good at what they do.
